    videos and that some were finished and in the

    library now.

    John announced a scheduled SKW board of

    directors meeting for Monday, Nov. 19 at 7pm at

    Spangles at Broadway & Kellogg and invited all

    SKW members to the open meeting.

    Show & Tell had 11 participants. Ed Rohr

    donated a sample of a new scratch free product

    to the club.

    The Bring Back Raffle winners were: Frank

    McMurphy, Ed Rohr, Sandy Fitzig, Mike

    Dromey, Ed Rubeck, and Hal Prester. Then

    members took a break, after which they settledin for an interesting demo on turning spheres

    given by John Nicholas.

    December Meeting: The demo is a

    surprise.

    Meeting News: 31 SKW membersattended the November SKW meeting which

    John Nicholas called to order at 9:15. John

    asked the membership for approval of the

    October meeting minutes as published in the

    newsletter and the membership voted

    approved. Gordon Beehler announced the

    treasury report as $753 cash with $317 of

    that amount designated as Library fund.

    Approval was given by the membership

    present. Gordon also reminded members

    that their 2013 dues of $35 are due and

    payable by Dec. 31, 2012 and requested thatthe dues be sent directly to him. (See note at

    bottom of page).

    John N. then announced the Guy Waldo

    Challenge Winners: 1st - $100 gift cert.- Paul

    Stagl, 2nd -$50 gift cert.- Richard Lappin, 3rd

    - $25 gift cert.- Ruth Chipman. John N then

    acknowledged the Hill Country Woodturners

    donation of 2 pieces of Texas Ebony for the

    SKW Bring Back Raffle. John attended their

    meeting in Nov. and said they hold a raffle

    every month to raise money.

    New SKW member, Richard Shrader was

    asked to stand and tell about himself.

    Jim Orange announced that Mike Dromey

    had taken on the task of transferring the

    Merry Christmas Everyone!

    John Nicholas Next months meeting will be January 19, 2012.

    The Dec. monthly challenge is to be a free hand

    sphere.

    SKW members Christian Lehr, Ron Maddux, Ed Ruebeck, Roger Marvin, and Paul Stagl working on various stages of

    creating a freehand sphere during the demonstration John Nicholas gave on the different techniques for creating a sphere.

    It was commented that it was very appreciated by other members to see the great member participation in the demo and

    the fact they would like to see more of this type of demo.

    APPLE COLESLAW 6 servings

    1 Cup Miracle Whip 3 Cups shredded green cabbage1 Tbs. honey 2 Cups shredded red cabbage1 Cups chopped apples optional: chopped walnuts (for garnish)

    Mix dressing and honey in large bowl. Add remaining ingredients except walnuts; mix lightly. Refrigerate1 hour or until ready to serve. Garnish with coarsely chopped walnuts, if desired. (Or may use any othernut/nuts of choice.)
