Pastor LaNorris McFadden
South Florida Gospel News
has named Sparrow Watcher as
the 2013 Book of the Year.
Readers have been deeply
moved by the unfolding true
story of The Sparrow Watcher.
Mary Hall's latest book restores
faith in the watch-care of God
and in His power to reach
through powerless people to
bring healing and hope in life's
darkest moments. The Sparrow
Watcher is a definitive account
of Mary Hall’s astonishing life
growing up in rural Georgia,
accented with original poems
throughout the book. She
opens up and shares the stories
of the conditions of growing
up in the south in the 1940’s,
where people created livable
conditions with what little they
had all the while trusting and
believing that God would al-
ways be there to bring comfort
to them and better days.
Order the Sparrow Watcher at
amazon.com. The book is also
available on Kindle Fire.

In an effort to bring people of faith closer together in
our community and to give thanks and praises for one
of God’s great gifts to humanity, the “Praise on The
Marina” event is every fifth Sunday four times a year,
right here in the beautiful city of Fort Pierce. This is the
fourth year of Praise on The Marina. Mass choirs,
Praise and Worship Teams, Praise Dancers, Gospel
soloists, Gospel Rappers, Inspirational Bands, Comedi-
ans, Gospel DJ”S and all are from many of our local
congregations and will be performing in this powerful
and unique event.
Praise on The Marina was created as an outreach
event designed to bring a greater sense of unity to the
whole community of faith, as well as all people in gen-
eral. In light of recent national and world events, it is
fitting that we all gather together to join our hearts and
souls through a medium that is universal…MUSIC.
Music is the universal language. It transcends race,
ethnic origin, and religion. Music reaches deep down
into the soul and into the part of each of us
that knows unity, love and peace.
2014 will be the fifth year for Praise on the Marina.
