The organiza-tional work for our “Heart for the Heartland” capital stewardship
campaign is underway and, beginning on October 21 you will be hearing about this exciting opportunity for the SCBC Family to take another significant step as we seek to reach The Heartland with the hope and joy of Jesus Christ.
What?
“Heart for the Heartland” promises to be a time of spiritual growth and faith-
building which stirs our hearts as God’s people at South County Baptist Church come together in equal sacrifice to provide the funds to completely retire our current building & land debt and to raise the initial funds to see our Vision 2020 building concept completed.
Why?
It’s really not about the building or getting out of debt, though. “Heart for the Heartland” is ultimately about providing the resources for more ministry.
South County Baptist Church exists to equip Christians to carry the Gospel to the
Heart for the Heartland . . . Be involved, be informed, be in prayer!
people of The Heartland and around the world.
“Heart for the Heartland” will provide the funds to enlarge and enhance our ministry facilities so that we can continue to connect families and individuals with the life-changing truth of God’s Word.
As we experience “Heart for the Heartland” together, we all have a responsibility in its success. Here’s yours:
Be involved!
Be informed!
Be in prayer!
Together, we are going to see God do amazing things!
In His Joy!
John

SCBC Pastor’s Message is online at SouthCountyBaptist.com Audio recordings of Pastor John’s weekly Sunday morning messages at SCBC are on our church’s website and instantly available for listening or download at any time. This resource is a great way to review and remember the specific details of a particular message. Its also a wonderful resource if someone you know is looking for a church where the Bible is presented accurately with clear and memorable application to our daily lives.
To access the weekly messages, go to www.SouthCountyBaptist.com and click on the Publications & Calendar tab. Then just below that, click on the Sermons tab where you will see a Launch Media Player button. When you click the media player, all the sermons will appear listed by date and title. Just highlight the one you want to hear and press the Play button (right arrow). Next to the media player is a download button if you wish to download sermons for transfer to your mobile device or mp3 player.
In addition to the sermons online, we also post the most recent Sunday Bulletin, Calendar and newsletter. If you would prefer to receive the monthly newsletter electronically, just call April at the office (314-843-5558) or email her at [email protected] to let her know. She will send you a monthly email reminder as soon as the newsletter is posted and available to read.

Ladies, the Christmas Brunch is fast approaching. The brunch will be Saturday December 1, 2012. This year's them will be "Sweet Smells of Christmas". We are asking for volunteer table hostesses to decorate a table and supply the dishes. If you would like to host a table, please contact Lauren Frazier (Bouckaert) and pick the table location you would like. We need to have 31 hostesses set by the end of October so we can start to sell tickets in November. Save the date and invite your friends before tickets go on sale!
