“A Great Place for Kids”

Dawn’s 4 year olds The year is already moving by too

quickly. Pumpkin Night was a great

success and my class had wonderful

time learning about Nocturnal

Animals. Eating bugs is always a

treat! This is a month of gathering

with loved ones, so we will be

talking about friends, families and

traditions. Near the end of the month we will be making a feast,

with Preschool Pumpkin Pie. We will

also be experimenting with boxes. Boxes

teach us about imaginative play, math,

space, shapes, cooperation, three

dimensional building and…who knows!?

Spaceships? The sky is the limit!

Teacher Dawn, Kristy and Maria

FULL DAY CENTER

The children are learning many new

skills. We are working on writing first

names; please remember one capital

letter and the rest lower case.

All month, the children will be listening

for letter sounds, practicing letter

sounds at the beginning of words, and

rhyming. This is something fun they

can do at home with you. Learning

names of family members is a fun place

to start. Please, provide many opportunities for your child to

practice writing, drawing, and cutting skills. Conferences begin

this month, watch for your appointment letter in your child’s

folder. Please keep your scheduled appointment, or contact me to

reschedule. Please check backpacks and

folders daily for important information

from the classroom or the office.

Our playground is wet and often very

muddy. , Please send extra clothes,

socks, and boots if your child has them.

You can call/message me anytime with

questions about your child’s success.

Jr Preschool Junior Preschool is off to an amazing start. We have been learning our daily routines and building many new friendships. It is wonderful to see the kind hearts of each child. We have been experimenting with finger paints; it is a fun and gooey experience. For November we will be talking about families. Each one is different, yet special in its own way. We will learn about fall and how our environment changes during this season. When you are outside please take some time to point out different signs you see such as

the leaves changing colors and falling, pumpkins, and scarecrows. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to teach your child about the world around them. -Lynnea

Part Day 4’s We have been busy this month of October subitizing, journaling, painting leaves. The children have learned how trees make plant food and why leaves change. We went on a nature walk collecting

leaves, sticks, pine cones to create leave man. Learning who and what lives in trees. Next month we are looking forward to Insects, family traditions with food, crafting with our hands, subitizing, learning the alphabet, yoga, reading and writing. Please send extra clothes and warm jacket with the children. Thank you and looking forward to the new month of November.

Cherie’s 3 yr olds The students are getting better at the routines and now

know what is going to happen next. This is a big deal for them to know what is happening next without asking. They are now able to move their name without any help as well. The past month we learned about tree's and the animals that lived in them as well as nocturnal and diurnal animals. We just concluded the

month with Bat cave and the kids had so much fun playing games with flashlights in a dark room just like the nocturnal animals do. For the next month we'll be focusing on learning about food, how to use scissors, and

how to write their name. -Cherie, Kelly, Laura
