DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION Our workforce consists of people from diverse cultures, backgrounds and skill sets, and this diversity enriches our breadth of knowledge, capability and experience. We believe in the principle of equal opportunity in employment for all people, regardless of any personal attributes such as gender,

sexual preference, marital status, pregnancy, family responsibilities, ethnicity, political or religious belief, cultural background, disability and age.

Our key focus areas, in line with our Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Strategy, are gender and Indigenous diversity and Inclusion.

LAUNCH OF STRETCH RECONCILIATION ACTION PLAN

On May 14, Monadelphous launched the latest edition of our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) for 2017 – 2020. The Plan outlines our commitment to taking positive steps towards inclusion and Closing the Gap in inequality.

Monadelphous launched its first RAP in 2013. This most recent Stretch RAP includes even bolder targets that will ensure the business establishes a sustainable future for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Our new RAP includes key focus areas: relationship building, supplier engagement, employment

opportunities and cultural awareness training. Additional focus has also been placed on ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities receive a share of the social and economic benefits derived from the resources industry.

Additionally, providing career development opportunities for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees and the engagement of more Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-owned businesses in procurement and subcontracting remain a priority.

GENDER DIVERSITY

In 2018, Monadelphous will launch its first Gender Diversity and Inclusion Plan which will set clear gender diversity targets and pathways to achieving these targets, as well as outline our monitoring and reporting expectations to ensure delivery. The Plan will be endorsed by our Managing Director and Diversity and Inclusion Champion, Rob Velletri. Through three key areas of focus we will enable strategic, sustainable and meaningful change to the way we attract, develop

and retain female talent within our business. We will promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as a career path for women; we will deliver training to influencers within our business to challenge existing stereotypes and foster a better understanding of the value gender diversity and inclusion brings to our business; and create a working environment where all people have equal opportunities to develop, be recognised and feel valued.
