A Little History...
The cariBEANer Soup Company was founded in 2003 by Dan and Beverly Higginbottom (pictured above). They went on a mission to make sustainable and organic bean soup recipes. Inspired by different cultures they travel around the world to create tasty dishes and transform them into make it yourself meals. Using less packaging materials is one of the eco friendly considerations they took in designing Soup On A Loop. Please visit your local farmer’s market to purchase your fresh ingredients.
The Caribeaner team are a group of sustainable farmers and volunteers comitted to bringing the community fresh, organic, and quality food products. The team is dedicated to practicing a green lifestyle. If you want to join our team or learn about sustainable farming send us an email or pay us a visit. Located just outside Louisville Metro we are minutes away from your backyard. Enjoy your fresh and healthy meal!

The Spice room is successfully restocked with new goodies. Let the soup making commence! You can always tell when a new batch of soup is on it’s way by the smell around the kitchen. Dan and Beverly have been busy traveling around the world taste testing new flavors for Soup on a Loop. It’s a hard job but someone has to do it. Their recent trip to the West Indies have inspired a new secret recipe in the works.
The organization process itself is something the Caribeaner Team
is proud of. Ten gallon drums are carefully filled with fresh ingredients daily and are kept in a 3,000 square foot stock room. Everytime you walk in you smell something new, that’s what keeps our imagination, creativity and taste buds going, The different colors are also pleasing to the eye, it’s fun walking around and reading the labels to find out where exactly in the world the products came from. Soup on a Loop has really outdone themselves in the food as art department.

Included Ingredients Cuban Culture: The Black Bean
Black beans have long been a protein rich staple food of many Latin cultures. Black beans, botanically known as Phaseolus vulgaris, are native to the Americas. One of over 500 varieties of kidney beans, black beans are also known as turtle beans, caviar criollo, and frijoles negros. These beans date back at least 7,000 years, when they were a staple food in the diets of Central and South Americans. Caribeaner uses Fair Trade Black Beans imported
from Cuba. It’s the reason why our
