This last month has been a time to experience new things. Like the premiss of Yahweh’s teachings from “Expansion Through Expression”, I have been exploring new places and concepts. This month’s issue contains photos and experiences based on the events I explored. This happened because I said yes to an invite to a Haiku Poetry groups annual gathering and workshop on Gabriola Is. Zeppo and Jane continue to expand through their discoveries that the other cat’s presence does not mean they have to feel threatened. Each has their own idea of what that is and how it does not hold true. Like us, they get caught up with preconceived notions of what is real based on previous experiences. It is only when we see something to be what it really is that we can truly move forward in the new situation. Happy BC Day.

Our planet has an infinite amount of stories to tell. This piece said “I have one to share.”

“But I am not a geologist” I say. “I do not know what all the different sediments mean. I can see some of them”. It say’s “it is enough”. And so with some trepidation I shall proceed.

Of late I have been learning about subduction and here is an image of it. I have seen it everywhere on the coastal regions of the islands I explored. But Gabriola is far the most dramatic to me.

This is pretty and amazing to look at, but I would not want to

be around when this happens again. It’s been told by the story teller that the next time is not too far off. Whether that is 10 or 100,000 years is of little concern to the planet. But to us its a big deal. Fortunately we have been given a physical marker - remember Noah and

the Ark. It is said that if one of the Aleutian Islands, which are found in the Bearing Straight and part of the Ring of Fire, sinks, we will have 30 days to move away from the coast of BC and arrive on the other side of two mountain ranges.

Really! Interesting how it can be finite as in ‘30 days’ and indefinite as in ‘it will

happen sometime soon’. This is where gratitude comes in, and,,, wait a minute, you mean the earth has a consciousness.

“Of coarse silly. I am a divine creation like you, but different. All things that exists has a consciousness of some form. Forms could not exist without one. You are talking to me are you not.”

“Okay, but what is your story?’

“I have been involved in subduction many, many times.”

The Body is Designed for MovementLiving life in its day to day demands can be like you

are sandwiched between those dictates. The more power you give them, the more they take from you.

Moving your body is one way to take the power back.

By claiming ‘your time’ for yourself and being

totally present in those moments allows the body and

mind to relax and refresh; not unlike a gentle cool breeze on hot skin. You expand and you can do more.

When you are hot and bothered by life, take some

control by deciding what is important to you. Release

the pressure on yourself, then observe their effects. In

exercise, as in any endeavor, where you place your mind during the activity will determine the authenticity of

your movements and the outcomes they produce. The

more present you are the more you create effectively.

Here is a sample of a Renku poem. It is part of the Haiku Japanese tradition of poetry. This is a composite of using a three line with verse alternating with a two line and created by different people. Each 3 and 2 line groups create a separate poem. It was fun to do as we all created a set of lines and then the best one was chosen. Each 5 line group had to tell a separate story with each set of lines being a part of the new story with the 2 or 3 lines before or after it.
