JUNE 27: SOUL RETRIEVAL
The Bn believe that the soul is the foundation of the life force and is thereforeintegral to all sentient beings. Occasionally, the soul can unknowingly separate
from the body-mind collective causing a variety of negative effects from mild
discomfort to death. While a persons life force may be present, there is the
possibility that the soul has wandered away. This disharmony between the soul
and life force severely weakens the individuals energy allowing obstacles and
illness to take hold. To remedy these negative things, the Tantric ritual of soul
retrieval becomes necessary.
The experience of the Soul Retrieval and Ransom ritual is also a beautiful and
moving way to deepen understanding of the ancient cultural heritage at the heart
of the Bn spiritual tradition.
JUNE 28: LIBERATING ANIMALS
Traditionally in Tibet the practice of Tsethar (Saving Lives) was common. Animals like
yaks and sheep would be bought and let go to lead their natural lives. Our situation is
little different since we dont have enough space to house these animals. So Gyalshen
Institute is organizing a Saving Lives event where we will save the lives of animals that
live on water, land and air. We will buy animals that were trapped to be killed or caged
and release them in a way that is in accordance with the environmental laws of the
land. We will also make sure that those are animals which can survive in freedom once
they are released.
Saving lives is one of the most compassionate acts that a person can perform andbenefits not only the animals in question but the people who save their lives. This
kindness blesses individuals with good health and spiritual wellbeing for this life as well
as future lives. Chaphur Rinpoche
DONATION $75 for both days, or $40 one day only. If you plan to attend either of these auspicious events,
pleaseRSVPor respond [email protected] that we may plan accordingly.
Note: Even if you are unable to attend the animal release event you can make monetary donations 100% of which
will be used to bu animals to be saved.
