What puts people off sport?

• Perception - feeling like they are not skilled enough/fit enough

• Expense - unable to afford uniform, club fees, entry to venue, gear, trips etc

• Not valued in family/community - no encouragement or support to be involved

• Bad prior experience - shapes future involvement

What is the ideal?Young people who value exercise and are fit and active can be committed to something respect each other and to follow the rules can have fun in a constructive way are positive about lifelong physical activity
