Marketing Campaign.

Sorority Row used Facebook to advertise the release of the film and had a series of TV Spots. It has received over 132,000 likes, suggesting that it was a successful marketing move. Sorority Row is R rated in the US by MPAA, and this has been suggested as a reason for it’s success, as at the end of trailers it stated that the film was strong for “Bloody Violence, nudity and partying”, which is sounds interesting to young audiences. They also created a gruesome “Theta Pi” game on Facebook which involved throwing tire irons at people to kill them as another marketing device.
