On June 6, 2013 Governor Shumlin signed Flexible Pathways bill (S.130/Act77):

• Expand: HS/College Dual Enrollment (ex. VT--NY)– VT: 2 free courses prior to graduation

• Expand: Early College Programs (ex. VAST)• Increase access: work-based learning (ex. CBL)• Increase: virtual/blended learning opportunities• Increase access: Career &Technical Education • Implement: Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs)

Personal Learning Plans (PLPs)

• Every student grades 7-12 have personalized learning planning:

• (Required Nov. 2015 for 7th/9th and Dual Enrolled)

– identify emerging abilities, disposition, etc.;– includes participation by engaged adults;– guides decisions… course offerings, and other

high-quality educational experiences.
