A collection of the nation’s brightest professional and student minds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics gathered at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Feb. 7 for the annual Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA) STEM Conference. The event, which drew nearly 10,000 participants, recognizes the past and present contributions of Blacks in STEM fields.
