A First Prize winner of All-Ukrainian Young Artists and Bergen Philharmonic competitions, she earned Bachelor and Master Degrees from the Juilliard School, where she held a full scholarship and teaching Fellowship; her major professors were Sascha Gorodnitzki and Nadia Reisenberg. Many of Sophia's students became professional musicians, have won top awards in national and international competitions and have performed at prestigious venues. Ms. Agranovich is a Steinway Artist, Program Chair of MEA of NJ, board member of NJMTA, Artistic Director of ‘Classicals at the Circle’ at the Watchung Arts Center. She is listed in the Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World and in the Private Teachers directory of the Juilliard School. Praised by the distinguished composer David Diamond, ‘She is a singular artist and should be admired for that rare quality alone.’
