From the theories of demandsupply to changing inflation trends, every
topic has a financial impact beyond the pages of the books which I want to
discover. In my 12th grade, I was awarded the Shresth Puraskar for
achieving proficiency in Economics. I am an extremely result oriented
person. Problem solving and analysis generate a great fervor in me. This
has helped me avidly in doing my economics projects during my school and
college days. Such skills gravely help me enjoy my passion for the subject
Economics. I scored 94% in the All India Senior School Certificate

leading colleges in Delhi University (Sri Venkateswara College). Through
perseverance and hard work, I have been on the Honours listnearly every
year. I scored 74% in my final year.
I was selected by Deloitte TTL as a consultant in the college itself who
placed me in Enterprise Risk Services at Hyderabad. I work in Internal
Audit. I handled Business Process Testing and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)

understand the international financial operations of big companies. I
believe that the time is now ripe for me to take the next step towards my
career. After my work experience, I believe this is the right stage for me to
pursue Masters and gain good knowledge of the Economics.
5 years down the line, I see myself working in an international organization
as an economist. LSE will provide me a solid foundation in Economics with
complete depth of knowledge on its various elements. From the prices in a
superstore to the stock indices on the trading floor, there is a need to
understand the underlying market forces that control the decision making
in businesses across the globe. The economic bubbles and the subprime
crisis have intrigued me to learn more about the theories and principles ofEconomics. In my undergraduate studies, I studied Economics all
throughout and every little concept has a broader impact on the economy at
large which made me delve into this subject even more. As an economist,
every day I shall delve into research of changing trends in the crucial
matters of money and economic policies. My knowledge would help me
predict future trends in the economic world. It would require me to have
analytical bent of mind with in depth knowledge to gain the ability to
predict impact of any policy. This work requires determination and
perseverance towards one particular field which fascinates me and would
help me grow intellectually.
In my high school I did a project on carbon trading as a part of the
curriculum, where I learnt how to apply simple techniques of
microeconomics in the sphere of environment policy and conservation.
A Masters in Economics from a premier institute like LSE would serve as aperfect platform to kick-start my career in the field of economics. The
rigorous curriculum and excellent faculty of LSE will ensure that I develop
a strong background and specialization. This would help me materialize my
ambitions. The unique two year programme of LSE .
