STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
My name is Harinder Singh. I am 18 year old and single. I have
always believed that there is nosubstitute for hard work. I believe
courage and determination play a pivotal role towards the success
of any individual. My fathers name is Mr. Muktiar Singh and he is a
farmer. My mothers name is Mrs.
arinder kaur and she is a house wife.
Academics Background:
I have been good student throughout my studies. In year !"1# I
passed my senior secondary educationin $ommerce %roup from
&un'ab School (ducation )oard. I got *.* bands in I.(.+.,.S
test which wasconducted in month of M- !"1/. I take this
opportunity to e0press my willingness to study and learnto pursue
my career in )achelor of commerce
Why this ourse:
It is very common among Indian parents to prefer either medical
or engineering as a career for their children and try their best to
convince their children not to go for other stream other than these
two.(ven though from childhood I had always aspired to work in
business sector and establish my own
business some day I had completed 1!th in commerce field and
follow my own dream of doingeducation in the Management sector.
It is difficult to understate the importance of -ccounting in
companies and the business world as awhole. It is because of my
recognition of the importance of accounting and management that I
havedecided to seek further education and a career in this field.
-fter careful consideration it has becomeclear to me that
developing a successful career in accounting in the modern business
environmentre2uires advanced training in accounting and related
sub'ects. I am motivated to study in your )achelor of commerce
program in Management by an awareness of the ever3changing reality
of the businessenvironment and the need to upgrade my own e0pertise
and professional abilities. Many outstandingscholars from my
country have studied abroad to hone their skills with foreign
teachers and classmatesand this has been instrumental to the
progress of my countrys economy. I hope to follow suit
broadening my international perspective improving my language
skills and refining my knowledge of Management.
%iven the importance of globali4ation in the management and
development of companies an educationthat does not fully address
the international and multicultural realities of the modern
business world isincomplete. I have therefore decided to pursue my
degree overseas as the e0pertise and facilitiesoffered in my
countrys educational institutions are limited and thus unable to
match the diversity andmulticulturalism available in the -ustralia.
I look forward to meeting and interacting with people fromdiverse
backgrounds. ,he ability to listen and learn from others is crucial
for professionals in allindustries. 5eakin university with its mi0
of people from different backgrounds is a true microcosmof the
international business world and thus the ideal place in which to

Why Austra!ia:
-fter 5eciding about to have formal Management education I
thought about different options availablein India. It is fact that
the 2uality business education in India is limited to the top tier
business schools.I reali4e that its too difficult to get admission
into these few 2uality institutes as competition is tootough. Many
students are preparing for entrance e0am for these institutes for
years and finally settledfor low 2uality institutes due to
competition. So I started to think about different study abroad
optionsas I preferred (0pensive 2uality education over cheap poor
2uality education. ,hen I choose -ustraliakeeping in mind
reputation of -ustralian Institutes Smooth 6aster admission process
and availabilityof &ost study work visa. If I go for good
Institute in 7S- 9 $anada it might take much longer timeto get
admission. 6urther there is no post study work for students opting
for Management education at7S- or 7:. So If I come back to India
with 'ust good education I might face more struggles. In myopinion
if I get some international work e0perience after 2uality education
it will help me a lot to get
better 'ob in India. (mployers will have more confident in
e0perienced management graduates. 6urther Management education from
developed country will give a strong base to my career.

practices. ,ravelling and studying in-ustralia will give me the
chance to e0pand my hori4ons learn about other cultures and meet a

-fter studying graduation from -ustralia I will get
international e0posure and education both. My planis to work with a
well reputed organi4ation where I can utili4e my skill. In India
there is a very greatopportunity for a )usiness graduate so
International study will give me the opportunity to have
cuttingedge over my competitors back in India. India is growing
very fast in the )usiness field. ,hereforeafter getting bachelors
