Gariff acted as the principal contractor on the conversion of
this Shoreditch building into a home for the modern audio system
company, Sonos. The London studio consists of a concert space,
listening rooms, work stations and a café. Work began with the
interior demolition of the site followed by a completely new
fit-out featuring custom-built interchangeable ceiling panels and
rotating wall louvres which fulfil the acute acoustic requirements,
and determine the feel of the interiors. Natural materials, such as
reclaimed timber flooring, sourced from the old BBC Broadcast
House, were employed throughout to create a welcoming, homely
feel.
