1. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT

ROSIE (as a child) lies in a single bed asleep in silence onher side with her back facing the wall, looking innocent andpeaceful. The words ’SWEET DREAMS’ are hung up behind herheadboard, and the camera focuses in on this to establish

the theme.

MUM sits on the bed by her side and sweeps her hand overROSIE’S forehead to push her hair back and kisses herlightly goodnight on forehead.

MUMNight sweetheart.

MUM tucks ROSIE into the bed, stands up quietly after sayinggoodnight and exits the room turning the lamp off behindher. She carefully shuts the door behind her, making aconscious effort to be quiet when she leaves.

FADE TO BLACK

2. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT

ROSIE (as a child) begins to toss and turn in her bed as ifshe is having a bad nightmare. She breathes heavily andshakes her head from side to side quickly in a restlessmotion.

FADE TO BLACK

3. INT. NIGHTMARE. NIGHT

In ROSIE’S (as a child) nightmare EVYLYN CRICK is rockingback and forth repeatedly on a chair with a long, sharpknife psychotically, holding the handle with one hand andthe blade of the knife with the other. As she rocks, shebegins to snigger and laugh disturbingly.

EVYLYN CRICK(sniggering)

4. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT

ROSIE (as a child) wakes up suddenly screaming and cryinglooking scared and confused as she looks round the room intothe darkness. She sits up in her bed and rubs her handsinto her eyes in a child-like way.

YOUNG ROSIE(crying)

MUM runs into the room quickly, turns on the light and runsto sit on the bed next to ROSIE. She hugs her passionatelyand tries her best to console her. As ROSIE slowly stops

crying her MUM grabs hold of her arms with each hand andlooks into her eyes in concern.

MUM(concerned and scared)

You’re not having those dreamsagain are you?

ROSIE sees EVYLYN CRICK from her nightmares stood peeringround the door in a long white night gown and her haircovering her face. She puts her hand on the door in a creepymanner and slowly the blank expression on her pale faceturns into a physchotic, creepy smile.

YOUNG ROSIE(whispering)

she’s behind you.

FADE TO BLACK

5. INT. LIVING ROOM. DAY

ROSIE picks up an old photograph of her and MUM from whenshe was younger off the window sill. The photo shows themtwo being happy and smiling together, representing a close

family bond. She looks down at it and smiles at thememories.

FADE TO BLACK

6. INT. CLASSROOM. DAY

ROSIE stands at the front of a classroom full of loudchatting young students. She claps her hands and orders themto be quiet.

ROSIE(raised voice and clapping)

Be quiet class, today we’re goingto study the book, ’Somnium’.

She turns away from the class to write the word ’somnium’onto the white board behind her for them to see. The writingis black onto a white background and is in quite spikeyfont.

7. INT. HOUSE. EVENING

Banging and strange noises coming from the next room. ROSIE

looks confused and goes to investigate. Camera follows herfrom behind to the door. She finds the door is locked andlooks through the keyhole. The camera reverses through thekeyhole to show her eye close up. A point of view shotshows an empty room then cuts back to the previous shotthrough the keyhole of ROSIE as she moves back. EVYLYNCRICK then appears behind her accompanied by some intensemusic. ROSIE is unaware of this.

FADE TO BLACK

8. EXT. ALLEYWAY. EVENING

ROSIE(gasping and panting)

ROSIE runs down a dark, narrow alleyway frantically awayfrom what we presume to be EVYLYN CRICK, looking behind herfrequently. There appears to be nothing behind her. Shebreathes heavily and looks scared and distressed.

FADE TO BLACK

9. INT. BALCONY. EVENING

EVYLYN CRICK, wearing a long white gown, creepily walksslowly pacing the balcony, her hair looks wet and stragglyand covers the majority of her face. Her arms are by herside showing little movement as she walks dragging her barefeet heavily.

FADE TO BLACK

10. INT. BALCONY. EVENING

EVYLYN CRICK, with the same characteristics as SCENE 9,turns and stops to look over the side of the balcony withher head down and her hair covering her face.

11. INT. BALCONY. EVENING

An over the shoulder shot from behind EVYLYN CRICK showsROSIE walking below looking innocent and relaxed. She hasher phone in front of her and looks up right before sheopens the door to the next room.

FADE TO BLACK

12. EXT. PARK. DAY

ROSIE and CRAIG are in the park stood up next to each other.They appear to look close in order to establish theirrelationship. ROSIE looks up desparately and asks..

ROSIE(deep breathing)

What’s wrong with me?!

(crying)

CRAIG brings her close and kisses her forehead with aworried look on his face. He then bring her in and they hug.

FADE TO BLACK

13. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT

ROSIE lies on her bed in a silent bedroom on top of thequilt covers with her legs straight. She begins to sob andher body curls her legs up, violently hitting the side of

the bed as she turns onto her side.

ROSIE(crying on her bed and slowlyputs her hands over her face)

14. INT. KITCHEN/CONSERVATORY. NIGHT

The room is brightly lit whilst the conservatory is in thedark. The dogs sits still in the corner of the kitchen andbegin to bark suddenly as if there is something behind theglass.

DOGS(barking violently)

ROSIE(in ’baby-talk’ type voice)

What are you barking at?

DOGS(continues to bark)

ROSIE walks over towards the glass door to investigate andstrokes the dogs. As she looks up to see what they arebarking at through the window, she sees a dark andmysterious looking figure (EVYLYN CRICK) and jumps back in

horror.

ROSIE(screaming in horror)

FADE TO BLACK

15. INT. BEDROOM. NIGHT

ROSIE runs frantically into her bedroom in panic and turnsto slam her double doors. She holds the handles of thedoors and levels her face inbetween the gap of the two

doors, and shouts to the outside.

ROSIE(crying but screaming)

Leave me alone!

Holding the handle, ROSIE slams the door behind lookingextremely frightened and upset.

FADE TO BLACK

16.INT. CAR. NIGHT

ROSIE and CRAIG are driving home from town in the dark. Theyare listening to music and both appear to be very happy asthey laugh and joke with each other.

ROSIE, CRAIG(laughing and joking)

ROSIE looks up out of the front of the car to see the darkroad ahead lit up only by the car headlights. She notices adark figure that looks like EVYLYN CRICK standing in themiddle of the road.

ROSIE(screaming in fright andplacing hand on CRAIG’s leg)

STOP!

CRAIG emergency brakes the car to see what’s up withROSIE. He questions her screaming in concern.

17. EXT. CAR. EVENING

A shot from the interior of the car looking out the front ofthe car shows EVYLYN CRICK standing in the middle of theroad in front of ROSIE and CRAIG. She is surrounded bydarkness with the only light still being the headlights ofthe car.

EVYLYN CRICK(standing in silence, with herhair covering her face.Twirling the knifepsychotically from scene 3)
