This task uses: Common Core State Standards Solving Exponents Objective: You will teach peers how to use exponents to represent multiplication of the same number using the Educreations on the iPad CC.5.NBT.2 Explain patterns in the number of zeros of the product when multiplying a number by powers of 10, and explain patterns in the placement of the decimal point when a decimal is multiplied or divided by a power of 10. Use whole- number exponents to denote powers of 10 1. Tap on the app on the iPad. 2. Tap “new lesson” at the top left hand corner of the screen. 3. With your finger or stylist, choose a color for your project. 4. Using your finger or stylist, start writing your lesson by completing a title page describing your lesson. 5. Tap the “rec” icon at the top right corner of the screen once. You will record yourself saying the title of the this lesson. 6. Tap the “rec” icon again when you are finished recording yourself. 7. Tap the arrow at the bottom right corner of the screen to move to the next slide. 8. Repeat steps 4 through 6 to continue recording your lesson. 9. When you have finished, tap the “done” icon at the top left corner of the screen. 10. Tap “save lesson” at the top left corner. 11. Type the title of the lesson and a small description and tap “next”.
