The Universal Identity Manager Experian Single Best Record (ESBR) returns the patient’s UPI; match score; and most current, accurate patient first name, last name, gender, date of birth, address (full), phone number and ethnicity. The Universal Identity Manager serves as the identity backbone providing patient resolution and enrichment. Experian Health’s Universal Identity Manager platform has established a unique UPI for every person in the U.S. population, an estimated 328 million Americans. We’ve additionally collaborated with the National Council of Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) to enable the UPI to be included in pharmacy transactions for the purpose of improving data exchange between partners.
