Apton Partitioning Limited was founded in 1973 in the United Kingdom as a subsidiary of the well established Dexion Limited manufacturing company, particularly associated with the development of the Dexion slotted angle steel strip construction system, widely used since the 1950s for domestic and commercial shelving, storage racking, exhibition stands and accommodation purposes. Apton is popular for our demountable and relocatable office partition system comprising of galvanized steel frameworks called the Colourline range.
In 2003, Dexion Limited ceased trading as a consequence Apton Partitioning division was thereafter acquired by a group of investors and had their operations relocated from Hemel Hempstead to its current home at Cannon Business Park in Wolverhampton England.
Apton’s product awareness and popularity grew steadily in the Middle East, where eventually in 2010 a Qatari based company called Rumaillah Group Holdings procured substantial stakes within Apton Partitioning Limited, making it possible for Apton to advancing Research and product development resulting to the launch of new product range and offerings.
In 2015 Apton Partitioning UK was wholly acquired by Rumaillah Group Holding, the company is now expanding to new markets such as Indian Sub-Continent, Central Asia, South East Asia, Middle East, and the African Sub Continent.Apton revolutionised the industry by bringing changes to communication, transportation, health, banking, oil and gas and the overall quality
of commercial life by providing solution for office spaces. These changes helped move the industry from using a fix wall in to a relocatable wall.
Demountable Partitions are no longer just a convenient means of dividing space. They also need to align with corporate design, provide users with a pleasing environment and offer flexibility in the form of easy relocation. Where
appropriate they must also be able to provide fire and/ if necessary sound resistance, hence Apton developed new product ranges.
