What is ECONYL®

ECONYL® solution dyed yarns are manufactured using high quality masterbatches produced by Aquafil.

The use of solution dyed yarns provides important advantages in terms of enviromental impact: no water is used in the dyeing process and, conseguently, no wastewater needs to be processed and purified. This leads to significant materials and energy saving.

Moreover, the superior elasticity of ECONYL® solution dyed yarns overcomes all limitations in the reprocessing phase.

Aquafil’s masterbatches ensure high quality yarns with color fastness in terms of:

• LIGHT FASTNESS• UV RESISTANCE

The available platform is based on 3 types of ECONYL® solution dyed yarns:• textured• twisted• taslanwhich are always available in their standard configuration.

However, solutions are infinite. ECONYL® yarns can be customized based on the client’s need by fine tuning the reprocessing, the design and the color of the fibers.

Solution dyed ECONYL® regenerated yarns are lighter than the comparable PET yarns traditionally used by the automotiveindustry. The lower specific gravity of ECONYL® regenerated yarns offsets most of the price differential.

Furthermore, it ensures better performance especially in terms of elastic and antistatic properties, quality ofthe fabrics and performance over time.

And ECONYL® yarns are regenerable. Infinitely.
