Since 2003 Schäfer Additivsysteme GmbH, located in Ludwigshafen along the Rhine has been a success-ful family-owned business. It is run by a team of highly qualifi ed chemists, laboratory assistants, engineers and merchants in the fi eld of additive chemistry.
As additive specialists, we off er a wide assortment of additive systems as well as customized solutions to
help our customers deal with challenges they face. With expert and targeted advice we support our customers to effi ciently use our additive systems and products in the plastic, lubricant, rubber and adhesi-ve industries, and thus drive innovations ahead.
The additive portfolio is expanded by the presence of fi ne chemicals and intermediates.
We seek to form reliable partnerships by fulfi lling and, if possible, exceeding the requirements and expectations of our customers. In order to satisfy the high quality demands and to ensure continuous quality of products and services, the importance of high quality work has been integrated into the daily routine of employees. To meet market and customer requirements, our products and processes as well as the management system continuously develop every passing day.
In order to ensure continual high quality products to the industry, specifi c resources supplied from a
network of sourcing partners are added during the production of products. The production of precursors is carried-out exclusively with certifi ed contract manufacturers.
Aspects of chemical legislation are considered during the development of new additive systems. The management system of Schäfer Additivsysteme GmbH follows all requirements of ISO 9001 and not only ensures quality, but also covers the aspects of work safety and environmental conservation.

Together with our partners in economy and science we search for sustainable products and solutions and are continuously striving for new innovations. Considerations for customer and market demand as well as chemical law, eco-toxicological impact minimization, and a healthy and safe work

The lubricant industry benefi ts from our additive systems by signifi cantly extending the lifecycle and serviceability of products, enabling new applications and ensuring more effi cient and economic handling of resources.
With the assistance of our LUBIO® Additives our customers are able to improve the performance and sustainability of their products. Many of our products are FDA regulated and therefore meet the requirements of food contact applications.
