FROM THE PASTOR… Today, is the SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY BODY AND BLOOD OF CHRIST [CORPUS CHRISTI] celebrat-ing the source and summit of our faith, Christ’s enduring presence with us in the mystery of the Eucharist. Here we encounter His love and healing, so we are strengthened and nourished to live the Gospel and to hope for a share in His eternal life. At all the Masses this weekend Fr. Schott and I will commission parishioners who have completed a recent training ses-sion. After this Sunday, only those commissioned will be able to serve as EMOHC in our parishes and at Kuemper. Makeup training sessions and commissioning services for those who were unable to attend will be sched-uled after Fr. Tim arrives. For more information about EMOHC, please vis-it https://christthekingcatholiccommunity.org/extraordinary-ministry-of-holy-communion. Please remember your parish in your will.....Your bequest is a testimo-ny to your faith in our future. —Fr. Mark
WELCOME to Father Tim Pick as paro-chial vicar [associate pastor] to the parishes of CTKCC. He is originally from Le Mars, Iowa [the Ice Cream Capital of the World] and was ordained on June 1. He is living in Breda. HOLY LAND OLIVE ART will be selling their artwork June 29 and 30 after Masses in Templeton, Mount Carmel, and Bre-da. Please see the calendar on page one for locations. This artwork is created by Catho-lic families in the Holy Land using wood from the Olive tree, an ancient symbol of Peace, wisdom, glory, power and pureness. The olive tree and olives are mentioned over 30 times in the Bible, in both the Old and New Testaments. Many olive trees are said to be several centuries old. Darker wood from these olive trees is said to be from the time of Christ. Generation after generation, families have taught their chil-dren to carve religious figures from Olive wood by hand. For two centuries Catholics have been able to support their families by selling these unique carvings to pilgrims who visit. Today fewer and fewer pilgrims visit due to the bloody military conflicts. The Archbishop of Jerusalem has blessed the mission of selling hand carved olive wood items to Catholics worldwide. Sakar Salman will be visiting Templeton, Mount Carmel, and Breda this weekend and Glid-den, Halbur, and Arcadia August 24-25. Thank you for support of Catholic fam-ilies and their presence in the Holy Land. NEEDED: an average of at least $1,000.00 per household each fiscal year to pay our bills. Five [5] of the six [6] are at least three [3] to ten [10] months behind. Can you help us??? FAREWELL for Fr. Mark and Fr. Tim Schott will be Sunday June 30, 11:00 a.m. in the Mary Nieland Center at Breda. Cof-fee/juice/rolls will be served. CCRE registrations are due August 15. Forms are available at St. John. Paul II par-ish office or online (Google Carroll CCRE). 1st and 10th grades must attend to receive the sacraments the following year. CCRE NEEDS CATECHISTS for most grades (K-10) for this fall. If you practice your faith and get along with children, you have the basic qualities to help be a light for our young. Contact Deacon Tim Murphy at 792 0513 for more information. ST. JOHN PAUL II PARISH - ST. LAW-RENCE LADIES GUILD SUMMER SALAD LUNCHEON, Wednesday, June 26, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at Collison Hall $7.00/person. Serving sandwiches, salads and beverage.

CORPUS CHRISTI SUNDAY EUCHA-RISTIC PROCESSION will begin at the end of the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday June 23, after the final blessing, with Exposi-tion. In place of the usual recessional song, we will begin the procession out of the church with incense, cross, and candles leading Fr. Mark with the mostrance. Once on the front steps of the church the Eucha-ristic Procession Canopy, carried by six [6] persons, will be held over the mon-strance. Everyone is invited to follow the procession as we process around the church property, to the south/west/north/east, and back into church. The procession may take about 15-20 minutes, during which time we will pray a Eucharistic Litany. Once we return to the church the Monstrance will be placed on the altar for a brief period of Ado-ration. This will be followed by Benedic-tion and the concluding song. We plan to conclude by 11:45 a.m. Everyone is invited to join us. We are in need of volunteers: five [5] Altar Servers [incense, cross, can-dles [2] and six [6] persons to carry the can-opy.
