Stefan Janoski was already on Nike’s pro Skate Team when they approached him about collaborating on a custom sneaker. De-signer James Arizumi and Janoski worked hard for a long time until they finally got the perfect design. Janoski wanted flat, long toes and a lot of bulk to the soles. A cork insole was designed, the Nike Swoosh was embroidered with matte thread, they used leather laces and added a suede inner heel cup to grip your heel into the shoe. Every aspect of this sneaker makes it wearable for everything, and

the label is one of the most recognizable and appropriate labels we’ve ever seen on a shoe. “The label on my shoes represents Vacaville, CA, and me, and Nike, together, skateboarding everyday.” The Nike Zoom SB Janoski is meant to be worn for every type of trick no matter where you are. -SC

Q&A on Twitter with... @shoewolf

SC: When did you start collecting sneakers?

SW: Two years ago, I started really getting into the game and I’ve been hustling relentlessly ever

since!

What was the last pair you purchased?

Dave White Jordan 1s. SO sick.

What is the rarest shoe you own?

Nike Air Max 90 War Hawk is my Holy Grail shoe. But my most prized is the Air Jordan Retro IV Un-defeated. Hands down.

What makes a sneaker valuable to you?

Demand definitely makes a shoe valuable, but to me, if I have to work hard and kiss some ass to get a shoe that few people have, that’s when I hit the jackpot.

How has the sneaker game changed since you started collecting?

Even just the last year it’s changed so much. Last year, I only had 1,400 followers on Twitter and now I’m past 10k. The means of finding sneakers is be-come much more competitive with more sneaker-

heads out there.

What do you love about collecting?

I have 281 pairs of sneakers and there’s someone out there looking for them. My goal is to be at the top of the shoe game and I still have a long way to go, but I have a great start.
