A provider should provide as much detail as possible about the system and its producti on; their equipment should be sophisti cated enough to produce de-tailed informati on and the provider should have a team in place to manage it.

SPP has a sophisti cated management system that lists monthly producti on and moni-toring stati sti cs. SPP is the only PPA provider that specifi es string-level monitoring on all its systems.

Does the provider send monitoring and producti on reports and feedback?

The provider’s methodology should be able to stand a vetti ng process from third party evaluators.

Some providers do not off er contracts with fl exibility for negoti ati on. Some pro-viders do not create their own contracts and do not have the experti se to adjust them as needed.

Does the provider have a defensible sav-ings analysis? Are they using the proper tariff s in their calculati ons? Are they providing realisti c assumpti ons about your system’s electricity output?

Is the provider’s contract fl exible? Will it support your needs?
