5 YEAR SHADELAB WARRANTYShadeLAB guarantees its products for 5 (five) years. In case of defective goods, the warranty shall only concern the replacement of the same. Product specifications are available in the catalogs and in the price lists valid at the time of sale by retailers of ShadeLAB.

FABRIC WARRANTYThe warranty relating to the fabrics is the same issued by the manufacturers of the fabric, and the characteristics of the accepted defects of the fabrics are described in the relevant section of this manual.

WARRANTY

WARRANTY PERIODShadeLAB guarantees its products for a period of 5 (five) years from the date of purchase. To make the warranty valid, the seller must be notified of the defects in writing within two months of their discovery. Otherwise the warranty is not valid. The entire value of the purchased product is covered by the warranty of Shade-LAB, notwithstanding any statutory provision. The only clause is to carry out the compulsory maintenance. This maintenance must be carried out after two years of the installation, within six (6) months by a qualified dealer of ShadeLAB. This is to guarantee the proper functioning of awnings of ShadeLAB. It is understood, how-ever, that all call and labor costs of the maintenance, as well as the spare parts, are charged to the consumer.In the first 2 years, the seller guarantees the repair or the replacement of the non-conforming product. Over the next three years, the warranty covers only the re-placement of the faulty components, and not the labor, on the condition that the product has been installed and used correctly, in full observance of the indications contained in the manual.WARRANTY RULES ShadeLAB warranty is valid only if:

• The proper use of the product has been respected• The adequate maintenance procedures have been respected as described in the manual• The compulsory maintenance has been carried out on the product by authorised qualified technician of ShadeLAB• Only original spare parts of ShadeLAB have been used• The products of ShadeLAB have not been tempered with, modified or altered in any way as originally manufactured.DISCLAIMERThe warranty will be rendered invalid if: the use of the product is not correct; if any work has been carried out on the product by staff not authorised by ShadeLAB; if the product have been tempered with, modified and altered in any way; if required maintenance has not been carried out; if non-original components have been used. In particular, the warranty does not apply in case of improper use of the product, that is use during wind, rain, hail, snow and more generally different atmospheric phenomena. It does not apply in case of the failure of the wall where the awning has been installed or in case of problems related to the power supply of all kinds. MANUFACTURER’S LIABILITYThe manufacturer will not be held responsible for any damage caused to objects, persons or domestic animals, or for stability problems caused directly or indirectly by negligence or non-observance of general safety regulations contained in this manual.

Sunbrella offers a 10 year warranty on their fabrics. This warranty applies to the original purchaser of Sunbrella fabric and protects against Sunbrella fabric becoming unserviceable due to color or strength loss from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight, mildew and atmospheric chemicals. This warranty covers Sunbrella fabric only. This warranty does not cover normal care and cleaning; damage from misuse or abuse; improper installation; or costs associated with replacement of the fabric, including labor and installation. Glen Raven’s liability is expressly limited to this warranty. Glen Raven reserves the right to inspect the fabric submitted for claim. Glen Raven will supply new equivalent fabric to replace the fabric that becomes unserviceable.

SOMFY offers a 5 year warranty on all motors and controls. Specifically, SOMFY warrants its motors and controls to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal and proper use for a period of 5 years commencing with the date stamped on each product. If the SOMFY product fails within this 5 year period, SOMFY will repir or replace it free of charge through your end product supplier. Batteries are not covered by this warranty.
