Red and Yellow Soil: -develops on crystalline igneous rocks E, S Deccan Plt Red Loamy Soil in piedmont zone of W Ghats found in Odisha and Chattisgarh & S mid Ganga plain Reddish colour due to diffusion of iron in crystalline, metamorphic rocks. yellow when hydrated. fine-grained fertile , coarse-grained poor poor in nitrogen, phosphorous, humus 4.
