).# $EA$ATION AND SUO$T

A. The CONT$ACTO$ is responsi!le for preparing the sur"e5 area for the leakdetection sur"e5. The preparation consists of6 !ut is not liited to6 the follo3ing7

1. Install an5 necessar5 electrodes.

#. Coordinate 3ith the leak detection consultant to pro"ide a sur"e5 area3ithin the liner e@pansion area that is electricall5 isolated fro thesurrounding ground

A. The dipole leak detection sur"e5 shall !e perfored after the placeent of theprotecti"e co"er la5er.

(. The leak detection consultant is responsi!le for cali!rating all e0uipent utili;edto achie"e optiu data 0ualit5 and sensiti"it5 for the site conditions.

C. All 3ork shall !e perfored in accordance 3ith current industr5 and AST+standards.

D. Data ac0uisition shall !e /S:!ased and a "oltage ap of the recorded dipoleeasureents shall !e generated in three diensions 3ith appropriate contourinter"als and colored "oltage ranges. The sensiti"it5 test shall include a "oltageap of the area including the artificial leak location.

D. +anual easureents shall !e ade to "erif5 leak signals after data anal5sisand to pinpoint the leak positions on top of the protecti"e co"er la5er fore@ca"ation 3hile the sur"e5 personnel are on site. 4ithin one foot of the liner6the CONT$ACTO$s la!orers shall hand e@ca"ate possi!le leak locations toe@pose the liner.

E. Additional anual easureents should !e ade to guide the

CONT$ACTO$s personnel 3hile the5 e@ca"ate the leak6 if re0uired.

*. After the identification and e@ca"ation of a leak6 the soil around the leak locationshall !e tested 3hile the leak is unco"ered and cleaned to check for ad9acentleaks.

/. Leak locations shall !e logged6 "isi!l5 arked6 and reported for repair.

. The leak detection consultant shall report the general results of the sur"e5 tothe Lead C8A +onitor and CONT$ACTO$ during the dail5 progress of the field3ork.
