Software Solutions for Additive Technologies in Manufacturing and Production
Customized integration allows for the implementation of additive technologies in manufacturing and production environments.
Reduced need of support through optimized exposure strategy
Through an optimized exposure strategy, geometrics that were previously unattainable can now be constructed with reduced support and in comparable quality.
Universal access to CAD data
An import of all native CAD formats (Dassault Catia, Solidworks, PTC Creo, Autodesk Inventor, etc.) is possible.
Increased productivity and cost savings through a new support strategy
Intelligent algorithms minimize the necessity of support materials. As a result and in regards to a specific build part, material savings and a reduction in build time of 23% were achieved. Depending on the build part geometry, savings potential can be doubled or more.
Intelligent component orientation
Additive.Designer has an intelligent component ori-entation. This allows the best possible positioning and orientation of the component in the assembly space in a time-efficient manner. Through the visual processing of criteria relevant to building processes such as build time, support volume, etc., every software user is given the opportunity to produced accurate components.
The Additive.Designer is the novel preprocessing software tool for AM processes. The software combines all features necessary to generate AM part and thereby fully adaptable to customer needs. The range of features starts with the native CAD-file import and ends by defining necessary milling strategies to automatically post-process the AM part on a milling machine.
Integrating in-house software solutions
Additive.Designer can be integrated into existing in-house data management systems via Additive.Hub. By integrating the in-house PLM system, for example, cen-tral data management is made easier.
High data security
The user has an on-premise solution at their disposal. In addition, this enables customers without a company PLM system and Additive.Hub to make the first step towards central data management.
Distribution of roles and rights
A context-based information and function use of individual users is enabled through Additive.Designer role distribution. User management takes place centrally.
Calculating component cost and time
A preliminary calculation of building costs based on the chosen machine, component orientation, space requirements, etc., allows realistic estimations of the material, time and economic expenses of the manufacturing process.
Workflow-based process for intuitive user guidance
Through the workflow-based process, the user is guided through the procedure by logically combined production stages. This intuitive user guidance ensures a high standard of user-friendliness.
Using outsourced computer resources
Through Additive.Designer, the user is given the opportunity to outsource individual processes and production stages. This reduces the calculation time with more and more complex applications.
