Modular structure

The billing systems available in the market and the products of SAP (IS-U, CRM, BW) form a special focus of the process integration and interaction.

Grid operators

The majority of large grid operators in Germany and Switzerland use the database-supported, highly efficient solution robotron*ecount for their daily business.

The linkage of value-added chains of energy supplying companies and their most important end customers is optimized with Smart Metering by the combination of rule-consistent process management in the electricity and gas market. The increasing requirements, e.g. from the Smart Metering, in terms of speed, data throughput and reliability comply with robotron*ecount and robotron*esmart to their full extent. This efficiency is based on yearlong experience during several large customer projects with more than 100,000 daily load curve processes. As it was already proven in a test of mass data at one of the biggest german grid operators robotron*esmart offers the best conditions to take account of the future performance and volume requirements of a Smart Grid.

The extensibility of the system by respective functional modules is used by several grid operators for the servicing business with market partners on grid and supplier level.

Public utilities

Robotron provides the established EDM systems as complete packages robotron*ecount City or robotron*esales City which are especially addressed to smaller public utilities (even possible with integrated Advanced Meter Reading). The application of an energy data management is possible as ASP service, as Software as a Service or as Full-Service.

Energy suppliers

An exact calculation on the basis of procurement costs determined appropriate to the period is nowadays required by successful energy sales. The contribution margin scheme is integrated into the structure of the calculation scheme. All additions and deductions as well as freely configurable price components are part of the calculation just as specific sales and administration costs. The potential to lower the sales risk is exploited by an integrated risk management as well as by a whole range of forecasting possibilities.

Structured procurement

The application of the Robotron portfolio management provides the basis for risk minimization on the procurement side of the value-added chain. The sales activities from the aggregation in flexible portfolios, to the break- down into products that can be traded and on to the control and billing of the trade transactions are efficiently covered.

The procurement optimization is based on the bottom-up demand forecasts and the forecasted price curves. By means of the portfolio comparison precise cost objectives can be generated for the offer preparation.

By calculating important key figures (e.g. VaR, M2M, ...) and defining multidimensional limits the optimal procurement strategy can be implemented. Tranching models are supported by respective mechanisms such as the time-quantity-matrix.

Gas sectorIt is the gas suppliers who benefit from the principles of the Robotron software maintenance during the liberalization processes of the markets. As a result, adjustments to changing market conditions, for instance through new laws by the regulatory authority are implemented in line with the maintenance contract in a timely manner and without additional costs.

The basic functionalities for the gas sector have already been in use for many years:
