TelecomunicatiiPosition scope

The Software Support Engineer is responsible mainly for identifying and correcting the code errors and for

implementation of software components for the eServGlobal product range, as determined by the Architecture

team.

The Software Support Engineer needs to be familiar with the review and interpretation of software design

concepts in order to trace, debug and develop software implementations that meet the specified designobjectives through proper observance of eServGlobal standards and conventions.

Reporting to

Software Support Manager, being part of the engineering support team.

Position Responsibilities:

Undertake the delivery of software corrections, development, programming, maintenance and internal

technical documentation according to the eServGlobal engineering management requirements, development

practices and industry best practices.

Development and maintenance of specifications and user documentation in accordance with the relevant

eServGlobal methodologies Problem analysis, reproducing and resolution.

Update and development of design documents, in accordance with the relevant eServGlobal methodologies.

Performance of quality control/Verification and Validation (V&V) activities in accordance with the relevanteServGlobal methodologies.

Recommendations for continuous improvement to the relevant eServGlobal methodologies.

Development activities, based on staff rotation plan.

CerinteQualifications and experience:

Relevant degree in computer science or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Technical knowledge:

A solid foundation in computer science, with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software

design Programming languages: C/C++

Java is a plus

OOD, OOP UML Familiarity with SOA, preferable with Oracle products

Comfortable with UNIX/LINUX operating systems, UNIX shell scripting

Familiar with awk, sed, perl Ansi SQL familiarity with database

Familiar with Oracle and/or Informix database servers is a plus

Knowledge of Solaris internal structures is a plus

Experience with post-deployment activity (support, maintenance) is a plus

Familiarity with development of java j2ee applications is a plus JDBC, JPA, JPQL, EJB 3.0, servlets, webservices (XML SOAP, WSDL) - JBoss, Oracle Application Server

Experience with systematic software development methodologies (according to an internal development life

cycle) is a plus

Communication skills:

Fluent in English (written and spoken).

The ability to work and interact effectively in a team environment.

Good communication skills (written and verbal). These include communicating effectively and professionally

with international teams.
