    Introduction:

Information Systems and Software Development is a very dynamic, growing and important research area. It provides the finest and thefastest way for solving the typical problems. Designing, developing, implementing, and functioning a system involves a wide range ofdisciplines and many application-specific constraints. To make sense ofand take full advantage of these systems, an excellent approach isneeded? As software development plays a major role for successfullyrun of information systems and also a good segment of researchers arefocusing on this area. Although this field is mature with many aspectsbut the main issue with this technology is related to its concrete linkbetween software development and information systems, as it is highlyimportant factor as of all functional requirements based on it.

Researchers suggested so many different ways for the best use ofinformation systems and software developments. But it still need to beconsider more, for getting more accurate and precise results byapplying new trends and techniques including merging the concepts ofboth.

    Objective of the Book:

This book aims to provide a comprehensive reference for InformationSystems and Software Development by covering all important topicsincluding the information systems and software development life cycle, systems and software processes, functional and non-functionalrequirements, managing software development and software quality,

metrics and technology. In addition Software Development Techniquesfor Constructive Information Systems Design will focus on research andexperience that could contribute to the improvement of informationsystems and software development practices. The book's scopeincludes methods, techniques and technology to better engineersoftware and manage its development. It will extend the growingliterature on the emerging technologies and innovationsin the field ofSoftware development techniques and Information System Design. There is a need for recent edited book that focuses in merging theconcept of information systems and software developmentperspectives. Some edited books focus in each perspective

individually. However, merging both perspectives gives a clear viewabout the current and future developments in information system andsoftware development.

    Target Audience:

This book would serve a broad audience including researchers, academicians, students, and working professionals in the field ofinformation systems and software development.

    Recommended Topics for Chapter Proposals:

Papers or chapters submitted for review should have a clear

component of information systems analysis and design, softwareengineering or address ways to improve the engineering andmanagement of information systems and software development.
