SUMMARY  

Software Developer IIReviews, analyzes, and programs enterprise level operational systems andalso tests, debugs and documents written code. May require an associate'sdegree in a related area, and 3-5 years of experience in the field or in arelated area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures

generally within the field of Computer Science and specifically within thesub-field of Software Development. Relies on experience and judgment toplan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision; typicallyreports to a project leader or manager. A certain degree of creativity andlatitude is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Otherduties may be assigned.

* .NET development (ASP.NET, VB.NET, ADO.NET, C#, ASP.NET MVC 2.0,WCF) 3- 5 yr. experience in all areas

* Solid foundation in Web Development best practices* Good understanding of IIS* Understanding of Agile Development practices (SCRUM desired)* Strong understanding of SQL Server 2005/2008* Strong understanding of SQL Server Transact SQL* Microsoft .NET framework v.1.1, v.3.5, v.4.0* Strong understanding of object-oriented design and implementation* Knowledge of Schools Interoperability Framework (SIF) desired* Good understanding of CSS* Good understanding of jQuery* Experience with ASP.NET AJAX

* Knowledge of Telerik RadControls desired (ASP.NET Win Forms, Ajax andMVC flavors)* Strong Software Testing skills* Understanding of Microsoft SharePoint* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Excellent interpersonal skills* Strong team effort mentality

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s Degree or 2 year degree in Software Related area of study, orequivalent job experience.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLSProven ability to effectively relate to people with a variety of educational andcultural backgrounds and communication skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets common scientific and technicaljournals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond tocommon inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, ormembers of the business community. Ability to effectively presentinformation to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statisticalinference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios,and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY  Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts, and draw validconclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructionsin mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Experience as a Developer Preferred. Microsoft Certifications a plus.
