Founded in 2002 by the well-known dentist, Dr. Fabio Bibancos, the Turma do Bem is certified annually by the authorities as OSCIP (Civil Society Organization of Public Purpose) since 2003, according to their social role and his administration proved honest and transparent.

Less than 6 years after its opening, the ngo already has the largest continuous program of voluntary dentists in Latin America, the Dentist for Good.

Recognized nationally and internationally, Turma do Bem has been rewarded by 2 worldwide renowned institutions:

Ashoka Foundation in 2006 and Schwab Foundation in 2007.
