What we can guess from theTrailer

A trailer is meant to show the best parts of the film and hint what the story is without giving to much away.

From Cherrybombs trailer the audience is to think that the narrative is about two friends who both meet a girl who has just moved down and both of the boys want her so they end up turning agents each other. The reason why the viewers are lead to believe this is because it shows the girl kissing one of the boys than the other right after in the trailer.

We are lead to believe that the boys are originally friends this is because they are shown helping each other outand having a laugh until we see them with the girl. Trailer on Youtube

What we can guess from theTrailer

The trailer for London to Brighton is completely different from Cherrybomb, the trailer use dialog from the film that that tells us the narrative of the film with out giving it all away. From the diegetic dialog that is given in the trailer we know that the girl is a runaway and that she’s going to be 12 this year. We also can tell from the trailer that she is getting bribed by a man with a hundred pounds to do something for him. We next find out in the trailer that the guy who bribed the girl got a guy, client, young girls to stay with him for the night. The last thing we find out is that one of the prostachus who was looking after the girl ran off with her than the trailer becomes a case for the two girls.

What we can guess from theTrailer

Like Cherrybomb Kidulthood’s trailer has music powering over what happens but unlike Cherrybomb you can still hair some of the dialog in the background. From the trailer the audince thinks its about youth life in London and is also about from different gangs and two boys trying to get one girl who ends up pregnant and they're not sure who the dad is.

Unique Selling Pointsand

Target AudienceLondon to Brighton unique selling points are how many good reviews they have got

from news papers such as The Times, saying ‘ “Blistering raw, utterly compelling drama.” ’ Film Review ‘ “Brutally raw thriller, with sharp serrated edges.” ’ All of the people who reviewed this film gave it 4 to 5 stars and said about what an impacted it made, this shows the audience that their film does work and gets you to feel what they want you to feel. That’s why the reviews are London to Brighton’s unique selling points.

The target audience for London to Brighton would be around the age of 17-45 and also someone who can stomach the film. The film doesn’t have much of a target audience it’s aimed at everybody a part from the weak hearted this could be because they just want to let people know what happens out there or it could just be because they just wanted to make a strong film that apples to everybody. However mainstream people might not watch it because it doesn’t have big explosions or things they would normal want in a film.

Music for the TrailersTrailers normally let the music build up and then die back down to make the pace to

the trailer. However not all films are like this London to Brighton and Cherrybomb use the music for their trailers in a different way.

London to Brighton has a slow pace music at first as it explains a part of the story then all of the sudden the music changes to a fast pace and loud making it seem messy maybe reflecting the film, being messed up.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU3G7EEFnwQ

Cherrybomb’s music for the trailer is by the band Twinkranes the song is called Being Kong. The music comes in right away with a fast pace right at the start, as soon as we see Rupert Grint’s character about to hit the other one, Robert Sheehan character. The music sounds like Indie rock, again promoting the film to Indie kids. With the music being at such a fast pace it gets the audience exited and wanting to see it, promoting the film.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBZ8mTtoI9I

Kidulthood’s music is like Cherrybomb takes overs the trailer and is overwhelming however in Kidulthoods trailer we can still hair some dialog that happens in the film but unlike London to Brighton there is not another dialog to figer out what the narrative is.

Shots/ Camera anglesandPace

Cherrybomb and London to Brighton both do there pace differently, Cherrybomb starts fast right from the beginning to end, were as London to Brighton starts of slow and becomes fast all of the sudden half way throw the trailer.

Cherrybomb makes there pace start and stay fast right until the last few seconds to make the film seem manic like there life and maybe the trailer being fast past resembles the usage of drugs in the film. Shot types that are used in this trailer are close ups to see peoples face

and on props, extreme close ups to see what a character is doing, long shots and establishing shots letting audience know where the setting is and where about the characters are.

London to Brighton’s pace is slow, it has a piano in the back, non diegetic sound, and dialogue over the top that is diegetic sound. Once the music changes half way in the trailer, becoming faster and louder, with the music changing faster so does the pace, we can tell from Cherrybomb and London to Brighton that music effects the pace. Once the music has changed in London to Brighton the trailer starts to become a blur and also a chase starts to happen. Like Cherrybomb London to Brighton has a lot of the same shots in its trailers Long shots of the town, close ups on peoples face and props this shows that these shots are important to the genre.

Kidulthood pace is fast at the beginning and then slows down in the middle to explain some of the narrative and then the pace starts to spend up again at the end. Camera shot are the same as Cherrybomb’s

Dialogueand

Special effectsCherrybomb and London to Brighton are both very different trailers along they have

been doing a different approach to make a good trailer and they both still do it with their dialogue.

London to Brighton diegetic dialogue from the characters in the film tell us the ideal narrative, it first tells us about the girl Joanne and why she's their and what is about to happen to her and how she ends up at the wrong place at the wrong time. The audience learns from the trailer that Joanne is a run away and is about to turn 12 this year. When the music changes we stop hiring about the girl and the rest of the narrative it just turns into the chase. Special effects used are over lapping in the footage making it seem quicker and confusing maybe what the charaicters would be feeling at this time in the film, this is used in the toilet scene.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KU3G7EEFnwQ

CherrybombUnlike London to Brighton Cherrybomb doesn’t have any dialogue, a part from when

someone is getting beaten up, until the very end when Rupert Grint’s character says ‘ “What do you want to know.” ’ this builds up suspense making the viewers want to know what's happened, making it seem like Rupert Grint’s character is asking us the audience ‘ “ What do you want to know” ’ getting us involved and braking the fourth wall. There's not a lot of special effects used in Cherrybomb it just has text writing that is used in the film that has been edited in.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBZ8mTtoI9I
