Story Time: told by blisteredspit member Lauren Schmitt Hello blogging world! My name is Lauren Schmitt and I recently went on an OPC lead spring break trip for the Adventure Media class. Eleven students and I rented mountain bikes from the OPC. My class bikepacked 52+ miles through Big Bend Ranch TX State Park. We created content for sponsored companies such as Tailwind, Jetboil, Velocity bikes and Raider Red meats along our journey. OPC staff member, Jake Baker, helped guide the bikepacking adventure. Baker has an extensive bike background and is a trained medic. He proved that he is a survivor man out in the desert. If I had to survive in the middle of nowhere with one person, it would be Jake Baker for sure!! My class and I are currently in the process of going through our Big Bend content.
