The basic rules for parents

• Keep the communication lines open.

• You set the parental controls.

• Learn how to use the apps they use.

• Require all social media use to be done in a public room.

• Periodically check their devices and accounts.

• Check out who they follow and who follows them.

• Don’t be afraid to shut it down.

• Don’t ask for passwords. Check their devices.
