Personal Relationships• ISOLATION– Relationships become dysfunctional, as the drug abuser
eventually maintains a connection only with his drug of choice.
• IRRESPONSIBILITY– Addicted parents can seldom offer a stable family life to
their children. – Children become irresponsible, insensitive and disobedient
to their parents• PHYSICAL and EMOTIONAL ABUSE– 17% of the drug consumers become aggressive after taking
the drug
Community• ACCIDENTS– Drunk driving results to an injury every minute and one
death every 32 minutes. • CRIME and VIOLENCE– 40% of violent crimes and property crimes were attributed
to drug and alcohol abuse• UNPRODUCTIVE LIFE– Substance abuse impairs the ability of the person to
maintain a full-time job and be able to create a harmonious relationship with co-workers
