    requires that each member must recognize his duties andobligations to his fellowmen and his society. Every society

    has harmony and order. Society, in order to eist andprogress, should eercise certain control over itsmembers. !ny deviation from the established way isconsidered dangerous to the welfare of the society. Socialcontrol acts as in in"uence. #t may be through public

    opinion, compulsion, social suggestion, religion etc. $hisin"uence is eercised by a group. $he group may befamily, church, state, school,etc. $he in"uence iseercised to promote the welfare of the group as a whole.
