differences are probably good.”- David Keirsey, Ph.D.

SISD Gifted Program Options
The pull-out program is used mostly in
elementary. Most
often, the students
are pulled out of a
regular class during
one day during the
week. They receive
accelerated learning
opportunities or are
allowed to work on
independent projects
such as the Texas
Performance
Standards Projects.
SISD Gifted Program Options
The inclusion program can be used at any grade level. The gifted student’s work is differentiated in the classroom by modifying the
content, process, product or environment.
SISD Gifted Program Options
The advisory program can be used during middle school during ARMI. Students that do not need extra tutoring can be grouped
together for gifted instruction. They can also be served during
Pre-AP classes.
SISD Gifted Program Options
High school students are served through a variety of programs
offered in our district including Pre-AP, AP, Pre-IB, IB, and dual-credit
classes through the El Paso Community College. In addition,
students can apply to programs such as COSMOS, HPA, MASI, and
Synergy.

pull-out, inclusion, advisory or GT courses?
