Eugene Platon brought his skippering/navigaQon and management experience to the Ukrainian team that for the first Qme in history entered the race on board "Hetman Sahaidachny». 2008/09. Eugene Platon was the leader of the Russian Project for the 2008-‐09 Volvo Ocean Race. 2009. Preliminary Events Schedule Spring 2015 Training and crew selection commencing on the training yacht VO70 located at SOCAR yacht club in Montenegro. Training yacht VO70 will be named SOCAR and dressed in SOCAR corporate colors, logo and slogan. Crew participation in different regattas in Europe and the USA. Commencing SOCAR global promotion. Summer 2015 – Spring 2016 Building the racing yacht SOCAR in the Great Britain. Racing yacht VO65 will be named SOCAR and dressed in SOCAR corporate colors, logo and slogan. Summer 2016 – Summer 2017 Extensive training and crew selection. Crew participation in different regattas in Europe and the USA. SOCAR global promotion continuation. Autumn 2017 – Summer 2018 SOCAR in Volvo Ocean Race.
