DID YOU KNOW?

• There are two types of eagles – The

golden eagle and the bald eagle

• Eagles have a six- to seven-foot wing

span and weigh up to 15 pounds

• Each wing has more than 1250 feathers

which are separated at the tips like

fingers of a hand

• Eagles can soar higher than any other

bird

• They can travel at over 65 miles per hour

in level flight (104km/hr)

• 150- 200 miles per hour when they’re in

a full dive (900km/hr)

WHICH BIRD ARE YOU?Canary

A beautiful little bird that is content to sing all day in a

cage. Never soars, has to be fed by others; has no power

or authority in its wings – Contended with chirping away

in their own confined, comfortable world.

Buzzards

Not beautiful, sits on telephone poles and squawk,

looking for dead things to eat. They have no beautiful

song, and they don’t know how to soar. – Sits on the

sidelines complaining, criticizing, judging instead of

soaring.

Peacock

A beautiful bird, for sure. Colorful and big. Extremely self-

focused, preens all the time, struts around showing off its

beautiful feathers – Preoccupied with oneself, thinks very

important

EAGLES ADVANTAGE

• They can build their nest at much high

elevations than can other birds

• The strategic vantage point gives them

great protection

• It’s ability to fly fast allows it to attack

a prey or a predator with its beaks and

talons with the force of a bullet

• It can fly for long periods without

becoming exhausted

• It can rest and relax as it soars because

it doesn’t have to flap its wings

WHO ARE YOU!

5

Your ability to soar high

depends on how deep your

roots of character .

Personality

Character

Our first energies should go to our own character development, which is often invisible

to others, like the roots that sustain great trees. As we cultivate the roots,

We begin to see the fruits

The Problem

“If you want to make minor

,incremental change and

improvements, work on practices,

behavior and attitude but if you

want to make significant quantum

improvements, work on

paradigms.”

The 8th Habit by Stephen R Covey

theories, reference or lens are inaccurate it does not

matter how you try to find your destination or how

positively you think, you will stay lost]

When you see things as they really are;

you will think and act differently

Eagles has great advantage over other

birds. He sees things coming and is

prepared. Can spot trouble and can

avoid it. – Habit 1 (Proactive)

SE

DO

GET

Eagles eyes are large and

are like zoom lens of a

powerful camera / binocular

• Able to adjust focus to see

not only what is close but

also great distance

• Has a second eyelid for

protection

FLAPPING AND SOARING

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind

(where are your going, what is your

purpose)

SE

E

DO

GET

Eagles soar effortlessly for hours

because they allow wind currents

and thermal drafts to carry them.

• Flapping could lead to

exhaustion and eventually failure

and death

Let go of peoples expectations,

legalism and guilt of failure and

learn and grow from lives

Eagles Live on their own – 1 yr old. – Soar, hunt,

build nests and mature into full eaglehood.

Eagles are partners for live and choose partners

by auditioning

• Eagles do not eat anything like decaying animals

but fresh meals

•Eagle lets flying lessons – baby eagles cannot

fall faster than father can fly

They fly
