▫ Updates - What is the policy? a) Updating app requires reconfiguring my app. b) Rollback : update did not work, need to revert back. c) rolling upgrades
▫ Runtime configurations. Do we changes in external dependencies?
▫ Auto scale out – scale in. What are the rules?
▫ Chargeback. Who is going to be paying for it?
Once Requirements are Defined:• The selection process for Internal vs. Private vs. Public will
be more clear▫ Most companies start with one method then adopt others for
a blended approach
• Business Strategy and IT Strategy come together▫ By defining the rules together, everyone is on the same page
for a company wide win
• Question your vendors for their roadmaps▫ This will assist you with ensuring that you are in step with
where your providers are headed
