Step 2: Take one 2” gray square and using a thin pencil, draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on the wrong side of the fabric. Place it right side down on the white square. Step 3: Sew along the diagonal line (Diagram 1) Step 4: Trim the block ¼ inch from the line you just sewed and press the seam toward the gray fabric (Diagram 2). Sewing Instructions for Half Square Triangles

Step 1: Take one 2” white square and place it right side up on your work surface.

Cutting Instructions

From gray metallic print cut:

(16) 2” squares

(2) 3.75” x 2” rectangles (Row 3)

(2) 11” x 2” rectangles (top, bottom outer border)

(1) 14” x 2” rectangle (left outer border)

(4) 2.25” x 22” strips (for binding)

From white/gray metallic dot print cut:

(12) 2” squares

(1) 1.5 x 2” rectangles (Row 3)

(2) 8” x 2” rectangles (top, bottom inner border)

(2) 11” x 2” rectangles (left, right inner border)

(1) 14” x 3” rectangle (right border)

(8) circles using pattern template

Sewing Instructions

Step 1: Lay out the 2 inch squares and Row 3 rectangles

according to the diagram on the right.

Step 2: Sew the 2 inch squares and rectangles

together row by row and press seams.

Step 3: Sew the rows together and press seams.

Step 4: Lay out the circle appliques according to the diagram on the left. Attach using

fusible web, fabric glue or your favorite applique method.

Step 5: Attach top and bottom white borders and press seams.

Step 6: Attach left and right white border and press seams.

Step 7: Using fabric paint and stencils, paint the word “SNOW” on

14” x 3” white rectangle according to the diagram on the right.

Step 8: Attach top and bottom gray outer borders and press seams.

Step 9: Attach left gray border and right “SNOW” border and press seams.

Step 10: Quilt the wall hanging using your favorite quilting method.

Step 11: Add a hanging sleeve to the back using your favorite method.

Step 12: Piece the 2.25” binding strips together and attach using your favorite binding method.
