The IP telephone with the latest VoIP technology for the discerning caller! Ide-al for ITSPs, offices, and private users.

As the basic model of the snom busi-ness telephone family, the SIP tele-phone fulfils the require-ments of VoIP telephony and ad-ditionally offers numerous functions that are indispensable for everyday working life. Due to its excellent cost-performance ratio, it is ideal both for ITSP packages/products and for small and medium-sized enterprises, home offices, and private users.

The sets new standards when it comes to user-friendliness: A two-line LCD display shows call infor-

mation, and the menu-driven user in-terface provides simple feature man-agement.

The is synonymous with effectiveness, time saving and flex-ibility: It provides all necessary office functionalities, for example choice of outgoing identity, “busy” indication, or picking up calls. Four different identities are possible.

Six user- or administrator-config-urable (or carrier-preconfigurable) function keys can easily be allocated to arbitrary menu functions like DND, redirection, deny, etc., or assigned to multiple lines. The comes factory-equipped with two of its six

programmable keys configured as line appearances. You can configure up to all six function keys this way – flexible enough to suit the needs of every user.

Are you afraid of unsolicited eaves-droppers, data theft, or spam calls? Thanks to the you have no need to worry. Due to the secu-rity standards SRTP and SIPS, the

is just as secure as the busi-ness model snom 320. This makes it perfectly suited for use in sensitive environments such as in banks and medical or military establishments.

Ideal for the office and everyone who makes a lot of calls, the is an affordable, yet powerful SIP business telephone with built-in full duplex speakerphone and three-party conference bridging.

A 2 x 24 semi-graphical LCD display and a menu-driven user interface supports easy feature management.

12 programmable keys with LEDs support flexible identity access/key configuration. A 100 number call memory, a 100 entry onboard address book (to which data may easily be up-loaded), custom call blocking, con-figurable/downloadable ringtones, auto-answer mode, DND and other

sophisticated features ensure con-venience and productivity. And the

’s built-in web server sup-ports even simpler end user configu-ration, screen dialing, and access to call history.

The is remote-manageable and firmware- upgradable, uniquely easy to install, and largely self-con-figuring. Broad codec support and full compatibility with current SIP recommendations ensure interoper-ability; support for STUN (NAT tra-versal), ENUM (for dialed-number resolu tion) and other state-of-the-art features enables flexible deploy ment behind local proxies, IP PBXs or hosted VoIP services.

The supports the security standard SRTP – a current speci-fication from the Internet Engineer-ing Task Force (IETF) for protection against eavesdropping – and TLS for protection against sniffing of signal-ing and authentication data.

By limiting the need for external confer-ence bridges/media server capacity or use of conference services for routine multiparty calls, the ’s built-in three-party conference bridge helps limit total cost of ownership, while also ensuring high audio quality and low latency.

The is designed for maxi-mum productivity and efficiency in the everyday business environment. Dedi-cated keys provide you with direct ac-cess to the functions for audio and call control, and context-sensitive menus offer you the additional functionality that you may need at any given mo-ment. The graphical display can be tilted for your optimum reading angle.

Additional sophisticated call control features, full call detail, configura-tion options can be accessed via web browser. Customized ring tones can easily be downloaded from the web server – including, of course, your favorite ring tone. Incoming calls can be marked with special ring tones to indicate the destination of the call.

12 programmable keys can be used to customize the functionalities ac-cording to your own specific needs. The LED associated to a function key shows you whether or not your colleague is currently on a call. And, of course, your colleagues can see whether your line is free or not.

The new mini browser, embedded in snom’s top-of-the-line 360 executive SIP phone, lets users and develop-ers create web-driven, screen-based telephone applications. Examples include custom contact-center apps, web-based phone directories, messaging, posting of news and other info on telephone screens, and more.

To spare you the annoyance of un-wanted inva sions of your speech data, the supports the security standard SRTP – a current specifica-tion from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) for protection against eavesdropping and the stealing of data.

With SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) you are ensuring your own personal independence. Most vendors are tout-ing SIP to be the communication pro-tocol of the future. SIP components can be combined into a complete sys-tem without you being tied to a single provider.

The is the VoIP phone for business users who need immedi-ate access to all of their important information.

With the large graphical, high- definition display, the offers an improved and extended presenta-tion of call lists, address books, and caller information. Caller information can be customized easily through XML to depict the information the user wants displayed.

Through the mini browser, users can have direct access to their own applications via the display screen. U sers can not only customize the design of the display but, also view

news tickers and other information as well as access central or public phone directories. The large LED (red) announces incoming calls.

More flexibility and productivity for your everyday work life: The improved interface guarantees ease of use and comfort. Context-sensitive menus offer additional options according to individual requirements. The supports several audio devices simulta neously, for example, it is pos-sible to use the handset or headset and the loudspeaker concurrently.

More performance through expanded memory: The offers more additional customer-oriented func-

tionalities and applications. The ex-panded memory capacity enables the depiction of graphics and high reso-lution pictures to show the status of contacts (e.g., busy, on-line, off-line) similar to Instant Messenger. It is also possible to play music and media files and to integrate applications like VPN for increased security.

Afraid of unwanted listeners, data theft or spam calls? To avoid prob-lems with unwanted violations of your audio data, the sup-ports the security standards TLS (Transport Layer Security), SRTP, and SIPS which are necessary to protect against electronic eavesdropping and data theft.

The snom 720 phone addresses of-fice users that require excellent audio and a large number of programmable PBX-style keys. It combines a state-of-the-art hardware with the proven snom SIP software.

The new audio subsystem was de-signed for excellent performance in office environments. It supports a large range of codecs, wideband au-dio, handset and hands-free operation according to TIA-920 standard. The specially designed grips which hold and release the receiver compliment overall user-friendliness by eliminating the noise normally associated with lift-ing and replacing the receiver.

For network connectivity, the snom  720 comes with two Gigabit Ethernet ports, one of them suitable for Power over Ethernet. The Ether-net ports are connected to an inter-nal switch that is capable of VLAN tagging, so that an external PC can reside in a different VLAN than the phone. A USB type A connector can be used to expand the functionality of the snom 720. An optional USB stick

can be used to connect the phone over Wireless LAN or enable Blue-tooth headsets.

The 4-line B/W display displays call-er-ID and other call-related informa-tion. Its fully graphic capability makes it possible to show international char-acters and render content generated from the built-in mini-browser.

Three rows of general-purpose keys with 18 two-color LEDs can be used to implement functions known from traditional PBX systems. Exam-ples include speed dial, busy lamp field (BLF), shared line appearances (SLA), call forwarding, door opening, and many more features depending on the PBX system used.

The new foot stand allows two po-sitions for the device (28° and 46° angle). It can be setup and changed easily without tools. The snom 720 comes in a dark grey color that fits the typical office dress code and makes usage traces less obvious than lighter colors.

Like all snom desktop phones, the snom 720 comes with software that has been used in many installations over the last decade. Configuration can be done manually through the built-in web server or through auto-matic provisioning. There are exten-sive management and reporting tools available, such as RTCP-XR or PCAP. Customization can be done in various ways, such as the snom mini-browser protocol.

The phones come with a preinstalled certificate signed by the snom cer-tificate authority which makes it pos-sible to securely provision the phone without manual interaction. In addition to the traditional provisioning mecha-nisms, it comes with TR 069 for easy deployment in carrier environments.

All in all, the snom 720 raises the bar for VoIP phones in its class both in terms of voice quality, available fea-tures and day-to-day usability.

Technical Data

Page 16: SNOM - IP Phones Updated

The VoIP phone unites two of the biggest requirements for mod-ern telephony in one device: extraor-dinary VoIP technology and design.

The SIP-based phone is optimized for professional use, from a technical standpoint as well as from its look. The comes with an integrat-ed 1 Gigabit switch on board which enables connected devices to benefit from all modern network installations.

With its high-resolution TFT color display the offers a brilliant depiction of call lists, phone direc-tories, and caller information via the integrated XML mini browser.

The wideband technology - snom klarVOICE HD Audio quality - makes the user feel as if the caller were in

the same room. In hands-free-mode, a Class D amplifier reliably suppress-es interference noise.

Moreover, the offers all conveniences snom customers have come to expect from our phones. Furthermore the includes the use of secure VPN as well as TLS and SRTP, making it almost im-possible to hack or misuse data. The

comes ready to be used with a WLAN adapter through the USB type A connector on the phone.

The also offers a wide range of functions particularly relevant to the business world, like 5-way-con-ferencing, multiple ringtones, and up to twelve different SIP identities.

The user interface was designed for clarity and intuitive operation.

All keys are extremely easy to see and reach from almost any angle, whether the is set up with the foot-stand in high (55°) or low (33°) posi-tion!

The look of the snom 8xx series was designed in cooperation with one of the most renowned German indus-trial designers.

The gives the discerning user comfortable access to numer-ous business functions that have become matter of course in today’s telephony.

The is a VoIP telephone for all modern people who need so-phisticated future-oriented technol-ogy combined with the highest user friendliness. The large high-resolution TFT color display is not only larger than the one of its little brother snom 821, but it also offers an advancement in technical innovation: It is a touch screen with a unique intuitive user interface. Thus the enables the user to easily handle even complex applications like call swapping or es-tablishment of conference calls for five participants via simple drag-and-drop.

The well-arranged address book ensures that each caller can be quickly identified. It has room for ad-ditional information such as com-pany affiliation, e-mail address, and much more. The control elements

on the display are designed for active call handling so that the right contact is selected even in multiple call scenarios.

The audio quality of the matches the high standards that snom customers have come to expect: wideband audio in HD Audio quality with silence suppression and voice activity detection.

The integrated XML mini browser provides a wide range of additional applications. Whether it is the control of an external USB monitoring camera or accessing the most important stock exchange data, the offers a lot of room for extras.

No matter where the is used, it is prepared for anything: power over

Ethernet (PoE) or conventional power supply via the adapter, WLAN via a USB adapter, to name a few. The adapts to any working environment. A secure connection via VPN, TLS and SRTP, which prevents the record-ing of data, completes the picture.

Already familiar from the snom 821, the dual 33° or 55° angle footstand, made of sturdy metal, makes all control elements easily visible and accessible.

With the the user gets com-fortable access to numerous functions that are very rarely offered in such abundance and convenience by any other device.

The audio control system augments your existing SIP PBX with another component of modern communication. The unites the functions of a telephone with a high-performance digital amplifier for broadcasting announcements and supplying background music to as-signed rooms, hallways, and office floors.

An announcement via is ef-fected simply by initiating a call from a snom telephone with its handset, headset, or via handsfree mode. An efficient 4 Watt amplifier provides suf-ficient coverage for the entire room or floor space.

If a network video camera is con-nected to the , images of the highest quality are transmitted to monitors located in other rooms or on other floors.

Several units can be con-nected to each other via the built-in switch. The individual network cables can be up to 100 meters long; oth-erwise common quality impairments caused by long stretches of cabling do not occur. The can be optionally installed on walls or ceilings.

The can be power-fed either via conventional power supply unit connection or through Power-over-Ethernet (PoE). The specific address-

ing of individual control sys-tems can be centrally configured via the device’s web interface.

Aside of the leading SIP protocol, the can also be addressed via

Multicast, thus enabling one transmit-ter to simultaneously address many receivers. As with all other snom ter-minals, updates and configuration changes for the can be cen-trally effected over the server.

For maintenance purposes, the has two 3.5  mm jacks for

headset connection. Four freely pro-grammable output pins can be utilized for controlling the via its web interface.

snom Vision – the expansion module for snom 8xx series VoIP telephones – expands the functional capability of your next generation IP phone to a whole new level. Three page views are possible on snom Vision connect-ed to a snom 8xx IP telephone. This allows 48 additional programmable keys’ monitoring that can be used for speed dial, Busy Lamp Field (BLF), presence indication and mini browser applications, to name but a few.

The snom Vision can be powered by a conventional power supply (5V adapter included in delivery). Alterna-

tively, the snom Vision can also be powered through Power over Ether-net (PoE IEEE 802.3af).

In addition to be used as an expan-sion module with a snom  8xx IP phone, the snom Vision can also be used as a stand-alone device, thanks to its independent Linux OS that con-nects to your network via Ethernet. The snom Vision has a built-in web server that allows you to confi gure its features through an elegant web in-terface at your convenience. Stan-dard snom settings provisioning is also supported.

The design of this brand-new prod-uct is in line with the outstanding fea-tures of snom 8xx series that our dis-cerning customers have come to expect. snom Vision and the next generation snom 8xx IP phone is in-deed an exquisite match that com-bines functionality with grace.

The snom ONE mini is the ideal telephony system for small businesses and home offices requiring a compact, yet powerful, on-premise IP-PBX. The sleek, pint-sized, solid state device supports 20 extensions and offers the full range of snom ONE telephony features, as well as complete support for the award-winning snom IP desktop and wireless phones.

Keeping up with the demands of sustainability, the snom ONE mini is based on a low-power, high-performance ARM processor, ensuring significant energy savings compared to traditional IP-PBXs. Requiring less than 60 kWh per year, compared to 876 kWh per year for a PC-based IP-PBX, the snom ONE mini is the clear winner when it comes to efficient power utilization. Equipped with Gigabit

Ethernet connectivity, the device can be powered by an external power supply or PoE to minimize cabling. Furthermore, the solid-state design of the device means no moving parts and thereby increases the stability of the system and reduces noise pollution in the small office environment.

Fully compliant to the SIP standard, the snom ONE mini is able to support a large range of compatible devices and services. When used in combination with snom phones, the snom ONE mini can further provide advanced features such as automatic device setup and emulated shared line appearance. The snom ONE mini can also provide PSTN termination in conjunction with SIP-based PSTN gateways or through service providers that provide SIP

trunks over the Internet. The pre-installed snom ONE software on the device comes with 20 extensions and offers the full range of the snom ONE feature set.

The Linux OS gives administrators the flexibility to install additional services, such as VPN, DHCP server and VLAN to customize the device according to their specific needs.

To further ensure technology longevity, the snom ONE mini comes equipped with IPv6 support from day one.
