In a big city like New York, it’s easy to forget the little things. This moss is a living and breathing organism in the great ecosystem that is our city. If you look closely, (this is for all of you biology students), it reminds you of a plant specimen you may see under a microscope.

This fountain is located on the east side of Central Park. It is the centerpiece of an even bigger circular fountain that surrounds it. What is intriguing is that the lily pads in the fountain are real.

Many come to the beach for the volleyball and the tans, but it’s a great place to come to listen to the waves of the sea and the seagull’s cries. New York is not only diverse in its inhabitants, but also in its many different environments. One can come to see the sights of midtown Manhattan, the trees of Central Park, or the sandy shores of our beaches.

New york city is much more than the concrete city that never sleeps. There are beautiful landscapes, which help us relax and get away from the hustle bustle of our busy life.

Parks are one of the few natural places of recreation purpose that New Yorkers have. The incredible expansion of technology is causing lesser and lesser people to enjoy these little representations of nature. Though it is almost impossible for humans to live without Green, it is constantly sacrificed to city-life, and very few are conscious of this.

Often during one’s trip to Central Park, many of these entertainers who make gigantic, indestructible bubbles are scattered across the park, making soapy arcs of joy for parkgoers to experience. They look cool.

Water and Trees, two of the most important thing for human survival. No matter how great of a civilization is created and how tall of a building is built, one can never deny this.

Sometimes, the distinctions between locations of nature and industry are not so clear. In this picture, it seems that nature is almost taking its turf back. Vines are beginning to cover the building and rust, an natural process, is beginning to deteriorate the door. It’s interesting to note that we’re documenting this battle with technology.

This park has elements of both the concrete city and nature. The trees gives this park a natural feel whereas the concrete floor makes it city like.
