HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK (SUMMER) (2020-21) It is summer vacation time again, a time to relax as well as to utilise the energy level of child. We know that holidays are meant for enjoyment but dear parents you can use this time to enhance the creativity of your child also. We have also planned some fun filled activities to keep the children busy. We sought your guidance and support for betterment of your child. Your motivation helps in bringing out the hidden talents of your child.

PLEASE FOLLOW SOME SUMMER TIPS:-

Dress up your child in loose, light coloured cotton clothes. Keep your child hydrated. Make them drink lots of water

and eat plenty of fruits. Make them eat healthy and balanced diet. Practice simple exercises and yoga asanas with your child.

In order to make your child busy all throughout the day we are sharing some tips with you :-

Involve them in various creative activities. Create your child’s interest in different colourful story

books. Show them the colourful pictures and motivate to make

story based on their imagination. Encourage them to watch various educational channels:-

Discovery , Nickelodeon , Animal Planet etc.

Use these phrases in day to day life for language development of your child :-

Good morning / Good afternoon / Good evening / Good night.

How are you? I am fine, Thank you. May I come in please? May I go to washroom? May I drink water? May I fill my water bottle? I have done my work. I have finished my breakfast / lunch / dinner. I have brought my book / notebook. Excuse Me! Can I talk to you? Please give me pencil, eraser etc. He / She is hitting / hurting me.

Help your child to learn how to express himself / herself .

Revise 5 lines on “MYSELF” :-

1. My name is ................

2. I am a boy / girl.

3. I am five years old.

4. I study in U.K.G. class.

5. I live in Faridabad.

Recite the rhymes of English and Hindi :-

English Rhymes :- My Body Parts , My Family

Hindi Rhymes :- म और मेराप रवार,माँ, वरगीत, यंजनगीत। Encourage your child to speak 2-3 lines daily on any object

from your surroundings.

Teach your child to learn the following chores in order to make him / her independent during this break:-

Encourage your child to learn to dress himself/herself. Put on their socks and shoes. Eat their meals on their own. Teach your child to comb his/her hair. Make your child to learn to open and fill water bottles,

tiffin etc. Teach them to keep their belongings back in their place. Make them learn to keep their surroundings neat and

clean. Practice tying shoe laces. Teach them to cover their nose/ mouth while sneezing or

coughing. Teach them to wash their hands before and after every

meals. Teach them to avoid touching anything with dirty hands.

Social Skills :-

Imbibe the following Social Skills in your child :-

Speak politely and softly with your elders and always respect them.

Greet with the smile and wish your relatives / guests who comes to your home.

Follow the table manners while having meals. Teach them to share their things with others. Teach them not to waste their food. Motivate your child to use golden words in day to day

life.(Sorry, Excuse me, Please, Thank you)

Enjoyable Activities :-

Paste pictures of ‘Parts of body’ on coloured A3 size sheet. Draw and colour a picture of your favourite toy / object on

coloured A4 size sheet and learn few lines on them. Find two (red, blue, green and yellow colour ) things in

your house . Draw on coloured A4 size sheet and colour them.

Written work to be done in a separate three in one notebook during holidays :-

Write ‘a’ vowel words –Three Pages

As a parent it is important to invest quality time with your little ones. Share stories about your childhood with them. Play indoor games with them like : Ludo , Carrom etc . Spend time with grandparents and let your children strengthen their bond with them.

Make these vacations a fruitful, constructive and creative period for them .
