Balefyre SMS System-V is made up of 3 key components:1. Balefyre’s SMS Service Suite.
These include, but are not limited to Fraud Detection & Management, User Group (UG) and Close User Group (CUG) Management as well as a number of location-sensitive services, such as Variable Tariff Allocation and Advertisement Management & Insertion.

Key features of SMSC-V:
Supports both Mobile and Application originated as well as Mobile and Application Terminated short messages.
Supports SS7 and SIGTRAN signaling protocols.
Supports multiple Application Originating message submission protocols, including SMPP, HTTP, HTTPS, XML-RPC and SOAP.
Supports multiple Application Terminating
message delivery protocols, including SMPP, HTTP, HTTPS, XML-RPC and SOAP.
High Capacity/Throughput.
Message Restore Server – A real-time backup system that protects messages should an unplanned shutdown occur.
P-Flow™ High Speed Concurrent processing - Allows all processors to run concurrently so that latency levels remain consistent regardless of volume scale.
Interfaces with pre-paid billing systems using both standard (e.g. DIAMETER) as well as a number of proprietary protocols.
2.Balefyre First Delivery Attempt Processor (FDAP)FDAP delivers between 80 – 90 percent of text messages directly to mobile users without the need to route messages to the SMSC. This reduces traffic loads and increases the capacity of the SMSC to deal with traditional store/forward traffic.

1.Balefyre SMS Service Suite The SMS Service Suite is built on the Balefyre InterMezzo™ Platform or Short Message Interception Processor (SMIP). The power of InterMezzo™ lies in its ability to apply a number of rules to message traffic with minimal increase in latency and without any interruption to the service. SMS Services on offer include:
Fraud Detection & Management – a feature- rich service to prevent SMS related fraud such as spoofing, faking, spamming etc.
User Group (UG) and Closed User Group (CUG) Management – a service that supports the manipulation of traffic depending on a subscriber’s membership to one or more CUGs.
Variable Tariff Allocation – a service module that enables tariff allocation based on a number of configurable criteria such as location and/or membership to a specific CUG.
Advertisement Manager & Insertion – a service module that provides operators with the ability to select and insert an advert into a message in time for the delivery.
