MEETING MINUTES FROM 1 AUGUST 2018

GUEST SPEAKER Jeff Epstein, MCAS Sport Specialist - Flag football is starting up in August. If you are interesting in putting a team together, please contact Mr. Epstein at 228-6389. You may also contact Bill Brown, 228-6638.Tyler Bibbins, Education Services Technician - If you have any education questions for yourself or family members, please contact Mr. Bibbins at 228-7484. Education services is located on the second floor of the library. Sgt Maj Mays - If you are not partaking in education TA, you are missing out. You are able to get your master’s degree without spending money or dipping into the GI Bill. Please remember that you may pass Post 911 down to family members. With base coming to full capacity in October, if there is a problem with your barracks, please articulate this so the issue can be fixed. Please encourage your Marines and Sailors to participate in SMP. If you don’t use it, you will lose it. NCO call is coming up on 8 August. This is a time not only for breaking bread, but to learn and network. Mr. Odom and SgtMaj Mays have begun to discuss an upcoming barracks bash. More information to come. SgtMaj Mays thanked Ms. Petrone for her dedication and hard work to SMP. She will be missed but will excel wherever she goes. • SMP Council Updates• Cpl Daniel Phelps has been moved to SMP Council President due to the departure of Sgt Ratcliff. A vote was taken for the new Vice President position and Sgt Marlonzo Bowier was voted in.
