Introduction As you have read in the diet manual, the best source of nutrients for you and your baby is food. However, you might not always feel like cooking or eating a meal (pregnancy sickness) or might crave something sweet (food cravings). Other times you may not have the time to prepare a healthy meal, sit down and eat it.
Smoothies
Instead of skipping a meal and missing out on important nutrients, it is better to have a healthy and delicious smoothie instead. In addition, every time after exercising your body needs a right combination of nutrients. If your body does not get these right after your workout, you are flushing a lot of your exercise efforts down the drain. A smoothie is the best option. All smoothie recipes in this book are packed with high quality nutrients. They contain carbohydrates (nutritious fruit and vegetable) and protein in the form of yogurt and/or Prograde Protein Powder – (click here for 15% discount). The following pages contain recipes for different smoothies. Use a blender to mix all ingredients together. I recommend this high quality blender which you also can use later for preparing baby food.
